Do you see love as a battlefield? If so, it might be because Ishtar, the Babylonian goddess of love, war and fertility, has made her way into your personal pantheon.
According to mythology, Ishtar's love is so powerful, she sometimes unintentionally destroys her lovers, which happened with the farm god Tammuz, her one true love. But she also kills out of anger and vengeance. When Gilgamesh refuses to marry her in the "Epic of Gilgamesh," for instance, she kills his best friend.
You, on the other hand, are not likely to destroy your loved ones, but your passion may sometimes lead you in an angry, aggressive direction. If you lose your temper when you don't get what you want, it may help to remember that this is your inner Ishtar goddess rearing her competitive head. Take that intensity and express it in productive and creative ways!
